What are the different types of solar inverters?

A solar inverter, or converter or PV inverter, converts the variable direct current (DC) output of a PV solar panel into a utility frequency alternating current (AC) that can be fed into a commercial electrical grid or used by a local, off-grid electrical network. It is a critical balance of system (BOS)–component in a photovoltaic system, allowing the use of ordinary AC-powered equipment. Solar power inverters have special functions adapted for use with photovoltaic arrays, including maximum power point tracking and anti-islanding protection.

Inverters are an important part of any solar installation; they are the brains of the system. Although the inverter’s main job is to convert DC power produced by the solar array into usable AC power, its role is only expanding. Inverters enable monitoring so installers and owners can see how a system is performing. Inverters can also provide diagnostic information to help O&M crews identify and fix system issues. These important components are increasingly taking on decision-making and control functions to help improve grid stability and efficiency.

Solar inverter is widely used in oil and gas pipelines, mainly for cathodic protection and communication load power supply, but also for the daily life of oil workers to provide electricity for television, electric lights, computers and other equipment power supply. With the growth of solar+storage, inverters are also taking on responsibility for battery management. Here is a look at some different types of solar inverters.

IVP Series (IVP-1500VA to IVP10000VA)

Hardware Advantages

1. LCD Display, intuitively shows working performance
2. Low decibel cooling fan, high efficiency no noise
3. Fault alarm warning
4. Easy installation
5. Remote control
6. RS232 Connect the computer to monitor the inverter performance

Performance Advantages
1. Adjustable charge current
2. Optional battery type
3. Pure sine wave output voltage, can load big power appliances
4. Widely voltage frequency range, suitable all over the world usage
5. 3 stage charge, prolong battery lifespan
Protection Advantages
1. Protect personal safety
2. Temperature compensation, protect battery
3. Battery overcharge, discharge protect
4. Inverter over load, output short circuit protect
5. Over temperature protect
6. Transposition protect
7. AC input, output over-current protect
8. Charge short circuit protect
Material Advantages
1. We used full copper material in the inverter transformer, line, etc. There are many supplier use half copper or aluminum in the market.
2. In order to insure the quality of our inverter. We use enough electrolytic capacitor in the inverter.
3. We choose the IR filed-effect tube in the inverter. It's famous brand in the market.
